Instalments

Terms
case by case

The most common route is not a bank but the developer: many new projects in Tbilisi and Batumi are sold with a 20 to 30 percent down payment and interest-free monthly instalments until handover. That cuts the upfront capital requirement significantly and is open to foreign buyers.

Georgian banks also lend to non-residents. Rates, terms and equity requirements always depend on the bank, the project, proof of income and your credit profile — nobody can promise conditions in advance, and we do not. We make the introduction and prepare the file with you.

01

Developer instalments

Typically 20–30 % down payment and interest-free instalments until completion. Exact terms differ per project and construction phase.

02

Local bank lending

Georgian banks do finance foreign buyers. Proof of income and a local account are usually required; terms are assessed case by case.

03

Refinancing at handover

The remaining balance can often be refinanced through a bank after completion — worthwhile only if yield and instalment add up. We model it first.

Frequently asked questions about financing

Can I buy an apartment in Georgia in instalments?+

Yes, with many new developments. A 20–30 % down payment plus interest-free monthly instalments until handover is common. The developer sets the exact terms.

Can foreigners get a mortgage in Georgia?+

In principle yes. Georgian banks lend to non-residents, but each bank decides individually based on the borrower and the property.

Do I need a Georgian bank account?+

For instalment payments and local lending an account is usually sensible. It is opened in person at a Georgian bank.

Do you quote fixed interest rates?+

No. Rates and terms are market-driven and individual. We do not quote conditions we have not confirmed for your specific case.
